This privacy policy applies to our collection and use of personal information of the following types of individual: (i) parties with whom we have an existing relationship in respect of our products and services – including customers, suppliers, partners and investors; (ii) parties who we may develop a more formal relationship with – including potential customers, potential suppliers, potential partners and potential investors, such as those who visit our website (https://www.hynt.net/) and complete the forms set out on it. We refer collectively to all such individuals in this privacy policy as “you” or “your”.

What personal data we collect about you
We collect and use the following personal data about you (please note we do not collect or use any sensitive personal data about you e.g. relating to your health, race or ethnicity or about your personal life etc.):

What we do with your personal data and our lawful basis
Under UK data protection law, we must be able to identify a justification (known as a lawful basis) in order to be able to use your personal data for a particular purpose. The purposes and accompanying lawful bases are as follows:

Direct marketing
We carry out direct marketing related activities via email, sending our newsletter to individuals who have signed up to receive it. We only send direct marketing messages to such individuals, where they have first provided their consent to receiving such marketing communications from us.
Please be assured that if you would prefer not to receive newsletters anymore, you can at any point withdraw your consent or unsubscribe from receiving such communications (by following the unsubscribe link in the footer of each newsletter email) or by emailing info@hynt.net.
How long we retain your data for
We will only retain your personal data for as long as is necessary according to the purpose for which it was collected. In particular, we retain your data for the following periods (following which it will be either deleted or fully anonymised):
- If you sign up to receive newsletters, we may retain your personal data for as long as we have your consent to receive the emails. We will periodically get in touch with you to refresh your consent, to ensure such consent remains valid.
- Customers, partners, suppliers and investors – for the duration of our agreement with your organisation, plus 6 years thereafter (which aligns with limitation periods under English law).
- Potential customers, potential partners, potential suppliers and potential investors – for the period which we engage with you around possible collaborations or more formal relationships – plus 24 months (after which your data will be deleted, unless you enter into a more formal arrangement with us).
Overseas transfers of data
We do not transfer your personal data overseas. However, some of our IT service providers, who are international businesses, may provide support or hosting services from other jurisdictions, outside of the UK, which could involve them transferring your data overseas. Where such transfers of personal data occur, the IT service provider transferring the data must ensure that the transfer is conducted in a manner which complies with UK data protection law. We only contract with IT service providers who can demonstrate to us that they are fully compliant with such data protection laws, and we seek assurances from them to evidence such compliance.
Recipients of data
We will share your data with a limited number of recipients. In particular:
- Our IT service providers; and
- Our external advisors e.g. lawyers, accountants, tax advisors, consultants.
We have contracts in place with all such recipients, which ensures that suitable measures are in place to help ensure that your data is protected in accordance with UK data protection law.
We will transfer your personal information to a third party if Hynt Labs Limited or the majority of its assets are acquired by somebody else, in which case the personal information held by Hynt Labs Limited will be transferred to the buyer. We would process your personal information for this purpose because we would have a legitimate interest to ensure our business can be continued by the buyer. You will be notified if such a situation arises.
In some circumstances we may also need to share your personal information if we are under a duty to disclose or share it to comply with a legal obligation, for instance if a regulator or court requires it to be disclosed.
Rights of data subjects
Under UK data protection law, you have certain rights over your personal data. In particular you have the following rights:
- The right to access your personal information – You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and certain details of how we use it.
- The right to rectification – We make reasonable efforts to keep your personal information where necessary up to date, complete and accurate. We encourage you to ensure that your personal information is accurate so please regularly let us know if you believe that the information we hold about you may be inaccurate or incomplete. We will correct and amend any such personal information and notify any third party recipients of necessary changes.
- The right to erasure – You can request that we delete your personal information. For example, where we no longer need your personal information for the original purpose we collected it. Whilst we will assess every request, this request is subject to legal and regulatory requirements that we are required to comply with.
- The right to restriction of processing – Subject to the circumstances in which you exercise this right, you can request that we stop using your personal information, such as where you believe that we no longer need to use your personal information.
- The right to data portability – Subject to the circumstances in which you exercise this right, you can request that we port across personal information you have provided to us, to a third party in a commonly used and machine-readable format.
- The right to object to direct marketing – You can unsubscribe from direct marketing at any time.
- The right to object to processing – In certain circumstances, where we only process your personal data because we have a legitimate business need to do so, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data.
- Rights relating to automated decision-making – We do not currently carry out any automated decision-making. In the event that this changes, we will notify you and inform you about your rights relating to automated decision-making.
- The right to withdraw consent. You can withdraw your consent to direct marketing at any time. You can do this by contacting us at the above address.
